Major Activities
Own the physical inventory reconciliation process including:Distribute reconciliations among the department to ensure proper coverage.Oversee stock count set up by other team members.Reconcile inventories.Review and post team member’s reconciliations.Validate accuracy of physical inventory postings, comparing expected to actual results.Maintain RMS Tracker to ensure timeliness and completeness of postings.Partner with LP to address and resolve store questions.Identify issues impacting multiple stores and notify teams as necessary.Administer Inventory Accounting email boxes to address and resolve issues, including insurance claims, vendor direct orders to stores, and shrink credits.Maintain store exception and store return tracking. Research and resolve issues with broad impact and, alert management for count reconciliations as necessary.Utilize MARS to provide detailed and complex analysis for business partners.Monitors reports for discrepancies and resolve issues timely.Partner with internal departments to research and resolve inventory issues related to store and distribution center operations, third party services, loss prevention, IT, merchandise, and inventory management.Seek out process improvements and/or controls that increase efficiency and improve accuracy.Assist in representing the inventory accounting department on cross-functional projects and initiatives.Prepare journal entries for reserve reversal, consignment shrink, distribution center samples, corporate purchases, and closed store reserve reversal.Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Special Certifications or technical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelMinimum Type of experience the job requires
