Maxar is looking for a Physical Security Officer to join our team supporting our Westminster, CO and Longmont, CO locations.
Responsibilities:
Executing all Maxar Physical Security policies and proceduresEnsuring that the work environment is safe and well-maintainedInteracting and aiding employees, contractors, visitors, and fellow officersPreparing Passdown, incident, and Daily Activity reportsMonitoring security surveillance systemsCreate, issue, and collect employee identification badgesGrant, remove, and audit area access utilizing applicable database(s)Carry, operate, and communicate using radio communicationsInvestigating and reporting hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances in the workplaceMonitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to protect against theft, damage, and harmPatrolling classified and unclassified premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of entry pointsSupporting security training and briefingsConducting end-of-day security checksConducting classified area open/close proceduresSupporting the control of classified storage material(s)Protection of combinations to security containers, cabinets, vaults, closed areas.Protection/supervision of keys and locks.Escorting personnel throughout the facility, including classified areas.Climbing stairs and ladders, running, and patrolling exterior grounds on foot for extensive periods of time. These duties may need to be carried out in inclement weather conditions, including snow, ice, and excessive heat.Other security related tasks assigned by Maxar Security ManagersMinimum Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen.Must posses a current TS/SCI security clearance and be willing to undergo a CI polygraph examination.Must be willing and legally able to carry a firearmCandidates must be able to make the right decisions swiftly, possess excellent communication and observation skillsPossess satisfactory public relations and customer service skills, sufficient to allow them to interact positively with Maxar employees, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and the general publicHigh school diploma or GEDMust be proficient with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:
Current adjudicated CI polygraph6 months of customer service experience2+ years of prior experience with personnel or property protectionExperience with access control systems, preferably C-CUREExperience with security surveillance systems, preferably AvigilonIn support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $20.63 - $34.38 hourly.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
