Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Physical Security Specialist-Journeyman to join our team! In this role you must be thoroughly familiar with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense Physical Security policies and directives. The position is responsible for managing and overseeing the SCIF and Collateral Area lifecycle from concept to completion for numerous government and contractor facilities. This includes planning, construction, operation/management, and mission conclusion. Candidate will review and assess physical security accreditation documentation and provide recommendations to senior government officials.
What You'll Be Doing:
Conduct facility inspections and provide recommendations to accredit and de-accredit Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), both CONUS and OCONUS, in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive 705
Conduct facility inspections to verify the physical security standards for the protection of Collateral information
Manage and oversee the SCIF and Collateral Area lifecycle from concept to completion for numerous government and contractor facilities. This includes planning, construction, operation and management, and mission conclusion
Draft, review, and maintain internal NGA policy documents, standard operating procedures, and instructional handouts pertaining to Physical and Industrial Security
Review and prepare SCIF accreditation paperwork to include Fixed Facility Checklists, Emergency Action Plans, Standard Operating Procedures and Concept Requests
Track all accredited entity SCIFs in the Intelligence Community SCIF database
Coordinate with other Intelligence Community members to create policy and regulations as they relate to Physical Security and SCIF construction
Conduct Physical Security Training, to include both SCIF and Collateral facility construction requirements, to alternate security personnel
Manage all aspects of security to include project milestones and life cycle plans to ensure a secure mission environment
Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materialsAnalyze complex security issues and provide program management with cost-effective recommendations that meet policy requirements
Conduct comprehensive Risk Management surveys and render impact statements
Escort uncleared visitors in facilities to ensure compliance with security directives
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience
Active TS with SCI eligibility and ability to successfully complete a polygraph examination.
Knowledge of: ICD-705 Tech Spec, National Industrial Security Program Manual, DoD Information Security and SCI policies and regulations, and Committee on National Security Systems publications, and provide general guidance of TEMPEST concepts and requirements
