Job Summary:  Functions as a member of the Outpatient Therapy team and provides quality care for patients referred for services by a licensed physician.

 

Job Duties

White River Health is looking for an ambitious physical therapist (PT) to join their outpatient therapy team.  New grads are welcome to apply as mentorship is available at all times.  The rehab team consists of five physical therapists, two PT assistants, two occupational therapists, and a speech and language pathologist.  The treatment types consist of some neurological disorders but is primarily orthopedic in nature.  White River Health is a teaching facility, always encouraging advancement of knowledge and skills and works closely with local colleges to provide clinical experience for therapy students. Functions as a member of the Outpatient Rehabilitation Team and provides quality care for patients referred by a licensed physician. Completion of a physical therapy program with clinical experience from an accredited school and an Arkansas physical therapy license required.  Oral and written ability necessary to communicate with and supervise co-workers. Knowledge and ability to evaluate and establish treatment plans and treat all assigned patients. Must possess the ability to interpret and write medical abbreviations, good communication/human relation skills, knowledge of indications and contraindications to all utilized modalities.  Physical ability to lift, bend, push, and pull throughout each shift is mandatory.  Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. Some travel to our other locations may be required but Batesville will be the home base.

 

Qualification:

Education: BS, MS or DPT degree in the field of physical therapy from an approved school.  Active license in Physical Therapy for the state of Arkansas. Training and Experience: successful completion of an accredited college program in physical therapy including clinical experience.  Up to date CPR certification. Job Knowledge: demonstrate competence in leadership skills, rehab principles, and procedures.  Possess skills and knowledge necessary to care for patients according to their age specific needs.

Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/ or alcohol. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
