Summary:

The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore optimal movement and function, decrease pain and prevent disability related to injury, disease, or loss of body part.

Principal Responsibilities:Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within.Demonstrates proficiency in evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions by appropriate testing and application of accepted treatment techniques, such as exercise and manual therapy.Safe and correct use of all therapeutic equipment, including modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation and iontophoresis, exercise equipment, and any testing equipment used for evaluations. Delegates appropriate treatments to assistants/aides and monitor patient progress.Participates in clinic educational functions, such as inservices, pre-therapy student mentoring, or clinical instructor for therapy student affiliations.  Attend minimum of one continuing education course per year.Maintains accurate patient files, including history, treatment, outcome, and conferences.  Submit appropriate changes and necessary forms to Business Services within time frame established by Corvallis Clinic policy.Assists in upkeep and organization of department, including supplies, treatment/administrative areas, and equipment.Coordinates scheduling of patient appointments with receptionists.
Education, Licensure and Experience:Graduate of accredited physical therapy program, required.Current Oregon state license required.One or more years experience in a similar clinical setting, preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.  Knowledge and Skills:Familiarity with manual therapy techniques.Ability to work compatibly with physicians, staff members, and patients.Perks and Benefits:Work-life balance is a top priority at The Corvallis Clinic8 holidays + 2 floating holidays = 10 Paid Holidays!
