Madden & Gilbert PT Career Ladder:
Entry Level DPT: focus here is on clinical skill development. We offer a COMT program and mentorship with an experienced DPT. Direct Access DPT: focus is on fine tuning advanced clinical skills. At this stage, development of other competencies including clinical team leadership and marketing. Senior Team Leader: this is a senior position with experience. Clinical Director: competencies to develop at this level are leadership, financial management, marketing, and operations. Equity Partner: this is a team member with an ownership stake in the practice involved in the planning and growth of our company.In addition to short-term salary considerations, total compensation considerations include:
WagesBonuses and profit sharing401k or simple IRA with potential matching (e.g., 3% at our company)Health insuranceDental insuranceVision coverageContinuing education support and mentorshipPaid time off & HolidaysStudent loan assistanceFocusing on wages alone, we analyzed our average entry-level DPT salary in 2022: $63,268.08. At this level, therapists are within their first two years out of school and likely undergoing mentorship in areas such as clinical decision-making and treatment techniques. We offer a COMT (Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist) program at this stage.
Level two sees DPTs obtain their Direct Access license. With an established patient base and solid word-of-mouth referrals in outpatient orthopedic or vestibular settings, the average direct access licensed DPT at Madden & Gilbert PT earns $70,904.75 per year (in wages).
Senior Team Leaders take on student PTs and participate in marketing efforts while maintaining an established reputation within the community. On average, they earn $77,550 annually.
Clinical Directors have increased responsibilities in personnel management, financial planning for the clinic's expansion and oversee operations. Working an average of 45 hours per week, our clinical directors' average annual salary is $102,033.60. We offer a 12-month Clinical Director Certification program.
