ABOUT THE ROLE: To provide intervention and evaluation of gross motor delays and disorders to those children who are identified to be in need of physical therapy services. Will demonstrate professional conduct to include compassion, dignity, and respect when interacting with other staff, family and individuals. Essential Job Functions: + Ensure that the people being served have the right to life, liberty, human security, dignity and are respected. + Support the people being served with living a life that includes self-determination, choices, and promotes attainment of personal outcomes. + Facilitate opportunities for open communication between and among staff, families and people we support. + Completes initial evaluations to determine eligibility and annual evaluations of children that are currently on caseload. + Provides direct physical therapy intervention to those children who are assigned to clinician's caseload. Schedule/Hours + Flexible Qualifications: Any Combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skill. + Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university. + New York State License in Physical Therapy. + One year experience in the evaluation and treatment of children with communication disorders in the birth to school-aged population.
