General Summary
The Patient Care Clinician, under limited supervision, is responsible for the assessment of patients including the development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care. This person interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their area of expertise. Clinicians are members of the Care Team and Support Team who have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
The Physical Therapist will render physical therapy services to inpatients, planning and conducting screening/assessment, developing treatment plans, delivering or supervising the delivery of treatment intervention and education for the purpose of decreasing pain; restoring mobility and/or strength; improving coordination, balance, endurance and ambulatory status; restoring skin integrity; and improving the patient’s overall functional status. The Physical Therapist will function as an interdisciplinary team member within the hospital/facility and in interactions with other health care providers. Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Adult-Geriatric), but primarily Adult-Geriatric.

QualificationsBS in Physical Therapy, or its equivalent required; MS degree preferred.Possesses current Maryland State license, or is eligible. One year of acute/subacute experience preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft Windows or successful completion of a hospital training program required.
