Introduction : Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Physical Therapists to partner with us in providing temporary contracted medical services to Military Treatment Facilities throughout the United States. Today’s posting will place you at the primary location of the Bremerton Naval Hospital, WA. Minimum Qualifications:
+ Degree : Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002. / Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
+ Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support : Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist
+ Experience : As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions
+ Licensure : Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist
Core Duties:
Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF. Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient. Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses. Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology. Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment. Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems. Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required. Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.
Hours of Performance/Schedule:
Hours of Performance/Schedule: The performance (duty) hours of the MTF are as follows: Duty hours will vary by position and location; however, typical duty hours are scheduled between 0700 -1700, Monday through Friday. Hours are subject to change and may include nights and weekends. In the event, the HCW is required to work beyond their scheduled duty hours for any reason, the duty hours will be adjusted within the current pay period; the HCWs shall not work more than 40 hours per week. The performance (duty) hours are as follows: Buckley Space Force Base, Monday through Friday, 0730-1630.

Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 6-8 hours per day
+ Able to distinguish between basic colors
+ Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print
+ Ability to communicate effectively with customers in stressful situations
+ Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and undergo urine drug testing
+ Advanced medical and anatomical skills
+ Knowledge of general surgery practices
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Strong motor skills and manual dexterity
+ Ability to work long and irregular hours
