Astria Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Aide to join the team at our Astria Sunnyside Hospital. This is a Full Time position working Monday through Friday.
What you get to do every day!
The Physical Therapy Aide will be responsible for providing support to physical therapists by performing a variety of tasks related to patient care, office administration, and patient education. You will:
Provide direct patient care as instructed by a physical therapist, such as assisting with exercises, helping with transfers, and providing support during treatments Document patient progress, treatments, and appointments in accordance with physical therapy protocols Clean and maintain the physical therapy clinic and equipment, as well as ensure that the clinic is in compliance with safety and sanitation protocols Provide patient education regarding physical therapy treatments and exercises, including proper use of equipment Performs other duties as assigned Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries. Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
Required Qualifications and Education.
High School Diploma Basic Life Support certification Oral and written fluency in the English language.Preferred Qualifications and Education.
Bilingual English/Spanish literate One-year previous experience in a medical setting.
