Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. Provides physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed physical therapist. Provides therapy for a wide variety of physical and/or functional limitations related to, but not limited to: musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, and developmental impairments, documenting progress with measurable and functional goals Independently maintains patient records according to hospital policy, completing daily record keeping, charges, and contributing to status updates and discharge summaries within hospital timelines. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, visitors and employees by projecting an attitude of flexibility and positivity to benefit the team and patient. Utilizes Service Excellence Standards throughout the hospital and outlying programs by taking ownership of customer needs and handling customer complaints promptly and effectively using the service recovery approach. Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in education offerings, independently achieve and maintain CEU's for SC LLR. Conducts job responsibilities in a productive and efficient manner. Communicates with physicians and other medical personnel regarding treatment provided, patient's progress or complications, recommendations, and clarification of orders. Adheres to the SC State LLR and SC State Practice Act guidelines, McLeod Health and departmental Policies and Procedure. Insures patient confidentiality through the proper maintenance of Protected Health Information. Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patient, self, and staff. Must possess a current valid South Carolina driver's license and automobile insurance as required by law. Must be at least 21 years old to be covered under McLeod Health's fleet vehicle insurance policy. Must meet McLeod policy for driving eligibility. License and registration as required by state law. PTA License, BLS Certification, Possession of professional liability insurance is encouraged.
