Job Description​

The Opportunity:

The staff Physical Therapist PT evaluates client after impairment injury or disease plans designs and implements individualized physical therapy treatment programs after referral from a physician. The PT delegates and instructs supportive personnel in services to be provided and performs other duties as requested by the manager.

You will work autonomously with a collaborative and supportive team. This is a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals with various skills, experience, education and specialties all working together through the care management process. This is a team that is there for each other and communicates a lot via phone. They support each other when questions arise and help each other in making sure we provide the best care possible to our patients.

Shift: Full-time, Monday through Friday, day time hours. This position will cover the areas of Belton, Pleasant Hill, Peculiar, and Lee's Summit, MO.

The Work:

Interventions may include:therapeutic exercisemanual therapyfunctional retraininguse of thermal electrical modalitiesgait trainingsplintinguse of various other training and retraining skillssupervises treatment provided by students, technicians, or physical therapist assistantsrecommends client care interventions to other members of the health care team to contribute to the clients’ rehabilitation processperiodically reevaluates client to determine effectiveness of interventions and contributes to discharge planningEvaluates patients after impairment, injury, or disease.

Driver's License - Various, Physical Therapist (KS) - Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, Physical Therapist (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
