Job Description:Evaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in accordance with professional standards of the American Association of Physical Therapy using Clinical Practice Guidelines, and policies and procedures of Essentia Health.

Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

Provides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patientsProvides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesProvide physical therapy services across multiple units, including but not limited to: General Medical, ICUs (including but not limited to surgical, medical, and cardiac ICUs), Cardiac Rehabilitation, Orthopedic/Urology, Neurological Rehabilitation, Oncology, Behavioral Health, General SurgicalDemonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) and complies with all organization policies.   Complies with organization code of conductMeets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsProvide staff education, participate/lead committee groups, participate in staff onboarding/orientationMay serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient care

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degrees from a physical therapy accredited program
