The Physical Therapist I (PT I) will perform evaluation and subsequent planning, execution, delegation, and supervision of treatment programs for persons with acquired or developmental disabilities. The PT I will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs. The PT I will provide patient care, supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation technicians, and maintain appropriate patient records consistent with KKI policies and procedures and in accordance with Laws and Regulations of the Board of Physical Therapy Examiners of Maryland.
Qualifications CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.Eligible for license to practice as a PT in the state of Maryland.Continuing education or certification in Physical Therapy or a related field is preferred.*Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI. *Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited undergraduate program for PTs.Graduate degree (M.S. or higher) preferred.Benefits
