As a Physical Therapist in Hillcrest Hospital’s Orthopaedic Department, you will create a healing atmosphere that enhances the patient and family experience. You will assist in providing highly specialized treatment for bones, joints, muscles and tendons. Our patients are dealing with pain, so remaining sensitive and compassionate is important in helping them regain their health.
A caregiver in this position works rotating days / evenings from 7:00AM – 7:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition. Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient / family according to their capabilities and desires. Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient. Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel. Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree or certificate Graduate of a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
