Physical Therapist - Outpatient Pediatric

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury, or loss of body part. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. The staff Physical Therapist also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Physical Therapy Assistants and may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of the American Physical Therapy Association training program Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or D.P.T or equivalent education/experience Certification in one specialty: Cardiopulmonary, Clinical Electrophysiologic, Geriatric, Neurologic, Orthopedic, Pediatric, Sports Medicine, California Children Services (CCS) paneled or Wound Specialist (CWS). Environmental Orientation within 30 days of hire California Physical Therapist License upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or sub-acute care setting.
