We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to work on a per diem basis in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a professional who is enthusiastic about enhancing the lives of residents through personalized therapy services. As a Physical Therapist, you will be instrumental in assessing and treating individuals to help restore muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment, relieve pain, and improve overall movement and function.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate residents by reviewing available information and conducting thorough assessments using standardized procedures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable goals tailored to the needs of each resident. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress notes. Provide supervision and guidance to therapy assistants and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Educate residents and their families on exercise programs and therapeutic procedures to continue post-treatment. Participate in team conferences and department meetings to discuss resident progress and needs. Adhere to professional standards and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy. Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist. Experience or training in a setting similar to the resident population served is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both oral and written forms. Competency in physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on resident assessments. Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, push, lift, stoop, reach, and balance safely for prolonged periods.
