Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Therapist assists the Therapist in care delivery processes. Performs the clinical duties of basic patient transfers ambulation strengthening exercises basic pre-ambulation stabilization interventions and other basic care duties as assigned by the supervising Therapist and within their skill level. Report directly to the PT Aide Supervisor. Assists in process improvement and other department operations as requested by the department Supervisor or Director.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
At least 6 months PT Aide experience in the acute care setting required or equivalent with direct therapy contact. Those who successfully complete the PT Aide training course will be credited with 12 weeks of experience. High School Diploma/GED or equivalent technical training. On the job training fine. Current BLS certification; Must have the ability to read write and speak English. Basic computer skills.Preferred Skills:
Bilingual Spanish speaking and written skills desired.Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
