We want you to apply! **Job Summary and Qualifications** + Associate of Science (A.S) degree or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program + Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred + Current state of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license + Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required + Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association (AHA). + Critical thinking and adaptability; services excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; PC skills + Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting patients and /or equipment up to 50 pounds **Your duties and responsibilities may include:** + **You will conduct patient education, including post care planning, proper use of supportive devices and equipment, and gait and functional training.** + **You will record, monitor, analyze and review clinical data. Provide feedback to therapist regarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patient performance. Adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the patient.** + **You will collaborate with patient service departments and community service agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learning activities. Utilize appropriate methods and material for effective learning, monitor response to education and adapt program as needed.** HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
