Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 500+ provider multispecialty group seeking a BC/BE neurosurgeon committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. The ideal physician has completed ACGME accredited residency in neurological surgery, potentially with additional subspecialty fellowship (complex cranial, but not required) and is willing to practice in a non-academic setting requiring excellent clinical skills and comfort with general elective as well as acute neurosurgery, including acute trauma/stroke/spine surgery. We are looking for a physician who can support and advance neurosurgical care and neurosciences at Saint Alphonsus Health System including the hub hospital (SARMC) but also developing it in satellite locations. Saint Alphonsus is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary neurological services, including a TSE designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and the region's only Level II Trauma Center.
Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of strong inpatient & outpatient neurologists, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologist and oncologists. Neurosurgeons will provide care for patients with complex neurovascular conditions, complex spine conditions, spine and brain trauma, a variety of general and complex neurosurgical conditions.
Support: Saint Alphonsus has a mature collaborative trauma team that supports neurosurgery colleagues. There is well-established comprehensive interventional neuroradiology service. Work in conjunction with medical and radiation oncologists and the Novalis Stereotactic Radiosurgery suite. Support for the practice is bolstered by a full complement of specialists including hospitalists and intensivists. Saint Alphonsus Health System is unifying its EMR to EPIC Care Everywhere in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Neurosciences will be supported by a newly approved dedicated Neuro and Trauma Intensive Care Unit.
