Position: Psychiatrist – ECT/TMS
Job Hours: First shift, flexible hours Monday through Friday. Work on-call, weekend, and holiday shifts required to meet program needs.
ProHealth Care’s premier behavioral health program seeks to hire a full-time board-certified psychiatrist with a focus on ECT/TMS therapy.
Join our premier behavioral health program in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, 25 miles west of Milwaukee. Our program includes outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatric care, a partial hospitalization program, and integrated behavioral health services. You will interact with a team of psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, psychotherapists, and social workers.
The candidate reports to the clinical program director, provides psychiatric evaluations, medical management, consultation with patients, and implements appropriate treatment.
Technical Skill-Core Competencies
Performs ECT/TMS therapy. Provides psychiatric evaluation on all new patients and establishes treatment recommendations using age-appropriate techniques. Prescribes and manages patient medication and treatment. Maintains appropriate, legible, and timely written patient records and submits patient-billing information accurately and on time. Supports therapists, as appropriate, in the care of patients or the rendering of services to patients to provide high-quality patient care. Serves as a collaborator for advanced practice nurses. Attends educational programs to increase professional competence and learn new developments and approaches in psychiatry.Education, Training, and Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a residency in psychiatry Completion of a psychiatric residency program from an accredited residency program. Wisconsin State licensure required Board eligible in appropriate specialty (board certified preferred) Full ProHealth Waukesha and/or Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals medical staff membership. What You Will Do:The Physician - Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist examines and treats general client base to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Requests necessary tests, follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director.
