Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

Nurse Practitioner with RNFA

Position Purpose:

The Physician Assistant provides care to patients under the direction of the supervising physician by assisting physicians in the care and treatment of patients with chronic and acute conditions. Assists physicians with initial examinations, preparing the plan of care, initiating treatment plans and monitoring the effectiveness of the plan of care.

This specific role will provide both inpatient and clinic care.

They will typically work 8 hour shifts with one week of 24/7 call each month.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program that qualifies for certification status in Ohio. Bachelors degree required.

* Licensure / Certification: Current license, certification or registration in the State of Ohio. National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification

* Experience: Physician Assistant with OR experience or Nurse Practitioner that has RNFA experience

* Effective Communication Skills

* Maintains a supervision agreement with the supervising physicians.

* BLS certification required

* ACLS certification may be required

* Strong organizational and leadership skills, self-directed and flexible
