Christ Hospital Neurosurgery is recruiting for a Physician Assistant to join one of the Top Neuroscience Programs in the state of Illinois.

Must desire working nights in an autonomous work environment and be motivated to learn from multiple providersWill work with a large collaborative team composed of 5 attendings 13 surgical PAs and Neurosurgery residentsPerform medical services overnight on weekdays and weekends for Neurosurgical and Neurointerventional patients in support of the medical plan and follow up care needsServe as First Assist in the OR when necessaryAssist with coding and billing complianceParticipate in clinical integration and quality managementThree-12 hour shifts per week

Position Requirements:

Master's Degree or equivalent as a Physician Assistant effective January 1 2018, 1 year PA experience in the relevant setting preferredWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency with an Electronic Medical RecordCurrent Certification (NCCPA)Current licensure in the State of Illinois Current Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hireEligible for DEA registration Possession of a current DEA Registration within six months of hire and may vary based on practice siteCurrent BLS Certification Current PALS/ACLS certification may vary based on practice site
