**Overview**
This position is located at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Hinesville, GA.

Winn Army Community Hospital is a 112-bed community hospital which will feature a new Women’s Health and Mammography Center. Our healthcare team provides primary and specialty care for a patient population of over 70,000. As a civilian family practice physician you will play an integral role in providing exceptional healthcare to the Soldiers and Families in our great Army and the 3rd Infantry Division.
Key supporting specialties at Winn include OB/Gyn, general and orthopedic surgery, EENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and Urology. Enjoy the benefits of a full inpatient and outpatient EMR with digital radiography.

**Responsibilities**
As a Physician Assistant you will perform duties such as:
+ Make decisions concerning primary care needs of patients with physicians.
+ Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders and injuries for assigned patients.
+ Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems of clients.
+ Write prescriptions, order the administration of medications, dispense medications and prescribe controlled substance in accordance with approved treatment protocols.
+ Evaluate the total health care needs of patients and develop plans to meet clients' needs.
**Qualifications**
US Citizenship Required
At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients in a Family Practice setting.
Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education.
Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
All Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
