Dr. Cuellar frequently treats conditions like Ankle Fracture, Fibular Fracture and Joint Pain along with other conditions at varying frequencies Job Details Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join our dynamic Orthopedic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with orthopedic conditions, performing diagnostic evaluations, and developing personalized treatment plans within your scope of practice. You will work closely with an experienced team, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and fostering a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough history and physical exams, performing problem-focused evaluations. Interpret laboratory and diagnostic test results, correlating findings to formulate differential diagnoses and establish working diagnoses. Develop and implement treatment plans for a range of orthopedic conditions within your scope of practice. Provide therapeutic interventions, including prescribing medications, administering injections, and recommending orthopedic devices when appropriate. Exercise sound clinical judgment, consulting with or referring to the supervising orthopedic surgeon or other healthcare professionals as needed. Order, collect, and perform diagnostic procedures, including blood work, EMG, ECG, X-rays, CT, MRI, and bone scans. Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance and encourage the use of community resources. Assist in the design, conduct, and/or participation in research studies, manage databases, and contribute to quality assurance efforts. Perform fracture management, including cast application/removal and wound care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program (Master’s degree preferred). Current New York State Physician Assistant license and registration. BLS/ACLS certification required. NCCPA board certification. Infection Control certification. Completion of a child abuse recognition course. DEA registration required upon hire. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to patient care excellence. Why Join Us?
