Physician Assistant

The McMaster Family Health Team (MFHT) is a partnership between the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences. The mission of the MFHT is “primary care for better health and a brighter world”. We live into this mission through our values of honouring and respecting others, practicing creative and courageous inquiry and action and engaging one another with generous interdependence. MFHT is committed to working through an EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion), ARAO (anti-racism anti-oppression) and decolonial lens rooted in Indigenous wisdom, with the aim to create and sustain a culture that values the diverse interests and experiences across equity-deserving communities.
The MFHT provides primary care services to more than 40,000 patients in the greater Hamilton area, trains residents and other learners in family medicine, and conducts research in this field. Patients come from all age groups, health and socio-economic backgrounds. In this setting, primary care is delivered by a large team of family physicians, resident physicians and interprofessional healthcare providers and their students, with support from clinical, technical, and administrative personnel.
