**Overview**
The position is located in the Family Medicine Clinic at Eisenhower Army Medical Center (EAMC), working in an outpatient clinic as part of a multidisciplinary team. Working hours are approximately 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

**Responsibilities**
As a Physician Assistant you will perform duties such as:
+ Make independent decisions regarding the medical care required for each patient.
+ Obtain comprehensive and detailed health and medical history from the patient or a family member.
+ Perform assessment of patients' condition to determine correct care and treatment plan.
+ Refer complex medical problems to appropriate next level of specialty care or medical management.
+ Prescribe medication and controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants.
+ Submit orders for laboratory tests, X-rays, and other special studies required for diagnostics.
+ Teach patients and their family members about proper treatment and medical care.
**Qualifications**
US Citizenship Required
At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients in a Family Practice setting.
Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education.
Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
All Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
