Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant to join the practice at United Hospital in St. Paul

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

Completes comprehensive patient assessments.​Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.Participates in health care team.Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.Acts as resource to members of the team.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program

Preferred Qualifications:

New graduates may be considered. OR experience or First Assist experience required.

Licenses/Certifications:

Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hireActive MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
