We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. **Position Overview:**
The MICU Advanced Practice Provider will play a crucial role in the management of critically ill patients. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for critically ill patients.
+ Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary.
+ Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
+ Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
+ Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and preventative care.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research projects.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.
+ National Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.
+ • Must possess knowledge of appropriate critical care, to include advanced cardiac life support and basic cardiopulmonary life support certification.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Current AGACNP certification or Physician Assistant certification.
+ Previous experience in an ICU setting required; fellowship training preferred.
+ Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Current Pennsylvania state license or eligibility for licensure.
