Merrimack Valley Emergency Associates (MVEA) is an independent group of Emergency Medicine Physicians, Urgent Care Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who provide emergency and urgent care services in the Massachusetts Merrimack Valley area. We currently staff the two emergency departments at Lowell General Hospital (LGH), both located in Lowell, MA, as well as, the four Circle Health Urgent Cares located in Billerica, Dracut, Tewksbury and Westford.
MVEA is recruiting experienced Physician Assistants to join our team in the Emergency Department. We offer a supportive, collegial environment with strong infrastructure including a fully integrated electronic medical records system (EPIC). As part of Tufts Medicine, LGH is an affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine and the Tufts University Physician Assistant program. The ED serves as a teaching site for both PA students and Medical Students. We are seeking full-time, part-time and per-diem Physician Assistants. The scope of responsibility encompasses working in an acute care ED setting. Candidates are expected to work independently, must be compassionate with excellent people skills, and possess the ability to manage volume and control patient flow. Candidates must have at least 1-2 years of ED experience as a PA or have successfully completed an ED PA residency or fellowship program.

Current MA PA license
Current MA Controlled Substance Certificate
Current Federal DEA certificate
Certified in BLS, ACLS
