consultations including assessment work ups triage emergency work ins and other patient care activities Position specializes in diagnoses and treats cancers that affect the urinary tract and male reproductive organsmiddot Obtains and documents health history performs and documents physical exam and orders and interprets diagnostic testsmiddot Provides counseling to patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatmentmiddot Collaborates with physicians to provide appropriate direct care interventions within scope of practicemiddot Collects organizes records and discusses data as appropriate and uses sound clinical judgment based in best practice standards and evidenced based medicinemiddot Prescribes pharmaceuticals according to patient needs and conducts appropriate patient follow up outreachmiddot Ensures timely retrieval of laboratory and ancillary studies and diagnostic consultation reportsmiddot Consults with appropriate internal and external staff to make appropriate referrals for acute chronic and preventive caremiddot Coordinates patient care and visits with appropriate clinical and non clinical staffShift Full Timemiddot Monday ndash Fridaymiddot State of CT APRN or PA license with prescriptive authority and current DEA numbermiddot years of experience urology preferredmiddot Excellent clinical management skills and proven ability to work
