**Job Description** Our Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner performs a vital role in Cedars-Sinai Medical Group dedication to deliver effective and efficient quality health care services to its patients. Together, the collaborative Physician and PA or NP will share responsibility for the health and welfare of our members. Essential duties and responsibilities: + Follow protocols which provide medical authority when such are indicated in providing care. + Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent, and non‐urgent presentation. + Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings. + Define/document differential diagnoses and list differential diagnoses with most likely diagnosis included. + Write orders for tests, procedures, and the implementation and management of therapies by following company protocols. + Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care, in collaboration with supervising physician. + Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action including but not limited to blood gasses, radiology, EKG, etc. + Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart including follow‐up notes. Our Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will address the following in-office topics/chief complaints while working alongside our shared call group of seven (7) physicians: AUB (abnormal bleeding), Bartholin Gland, Annual Exam (breast exam, pelvic exam), Cryo Therapy, Ectopic Pregnancy, EMB, IUD Insertion & Removal, Mife (“abortion pill”), Nexplanon Insertion & Removal, UTI (urinary tract infections), Vulvar Biopsy, Infertility counseling, birth control consults, STD testing/counseling, Pelvic pain and Pessary checks. + Physician in-basket management + This is a 4/10's schedule.
