The Surgical Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare. In this role, you will work Clinic as well as see consults and assist in the OR. There will be outreach to our Merrill Center. NO Call responsibilities. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._ **Minimum Required:** Master’s Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant. **Preferred/Optional:** None **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** None **Preferred/Optional:** One to two years’ nursing experience in specialty. **CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES** _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._ **Minimum Required:** Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
