Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team as an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC). The PM&R team consists of nine physiatrists, seven associate staff and three chiropractors who work in both the inpatient and ambulatory care setting.

This position will work exclusively in the ambulatory setting, Monday through Friday, day hours.  The APC completes visits for patients with back pain (both acute and chronic), chronic pain of all types, and concussions along with evaluating patients for appropriate injection therapies, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, and trigger point injections.  The APC functions independently, but always has a physician available for consult.

The PM&R Department is an integral specialty within our comprehensive Neuroscience Center, which includes the services of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
