At Concentra, our physicians spend 90% of their time clinically treating patients; the remaining 10% focused on recruiting, business metrics, patient/client happiness and center management. Our Center Medical Directors are a vital part of a dedicated team of clinicians committed to exceptional patient care. Additionally, they facilitate efficient and effective center operations by balancing the dynamics of patient care and leadership within a clinical environment. This is an extraordinary opportunity for you to make a difference as you watch your direct leadership impact the health of America’s workforce.

 

Center Hours:  Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM, no call and no weekends. (Option for a 4 day work week!)

Responsibilities Spends 100% of time in a center providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experienceEnsures day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closureAccountable for monitoring, understanding and effecting key clinical center metrics that relate to quality outcomes: Analytics and relate to quality outcomes: Practice Indicators, GRV, LOS, TAT, Specialist Referral Rate, Primary Care Case Duration, Days to First Recheck, % of cases with Lost Time, Limited Duty, Full Duty, and other metrics found in the CMPRManages Staff Clinicians and support staff and complies with APC supervisory requirementsCreates a professional and collaborative working environment with full colleague participation that promotes teamwork, quality, exceptional outcomes, and patient and colleague safety and engagementWorks with DMO to identify and implement changes to ensure continuous clinical improvementMasters use of clinical systems to ensure efficiency, excellent supportive documentation, appropriate and optimal coding levels, charge capture, and follow-through on all patient care ordersEnsures compliance with local, State, and Federal Practice Act/Rules and Regulations/WC RegulationsDrives patient and client experience metrics.Calls and communicates to employers on all new injuries and other significant clinical changesActively participates in CLT meetings with COD and CTD to improve quality, patient safety, outlier management, staff engagement, and ensures the ongoing development and growth of the center’s businessAttend and actively participate in monthly Clinician meetings and all other meetings as scheduled by the market leadership team.Maintains and cultivates relationships with center clients and payers while responding to requests within 24 hoursWorks with DMO and CLT to manage clinical and support staffing levels and proficiencies that will optimize patient satisfaction, workflows, and efficienciesPromotes, cultivates, and exemplifies Orange Book values for all center colleaguesDevelops colleague success through all aspects of the talent life cycle for staff clinicians and support staff within the centerFosters an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement and reward and recognitionLeads and promotes collaboration within CLT and across disciplines to achieve clinical and business outcomesAccountable for understanding and input on Center financial drivers (GRV, PI, New Injuries, TAT) and outcomes in order to achieve annual business plan objectivesPromotes center initiatives and workflows that are consistent with those in other Concentra centers

Qualifications Graduate of an accredited medical program with a M.D. or D.O.Board certification/ Board Eligible by ABMS/AOA preferredMeets State Licensure requirements.BLS Certified

Job-Related Experience

Customarily has at least three to five years of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or pertinent medical specialty.

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $230000 to $245000 hourly depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.
