Corewell Health Children’s department of behavioral health is growing to add a BC/BE Child & Adolescent Consult Liaison and Outpatient Psychiatrist to Corewell Health Children’s at William Beaumont University Hospital. 

This is a great opportunity to be part of a new and growing child & adolescent psychiatry program at Corewell Health!
The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will split their time between Consult Liaison and Outpatient settings.

For the Consult Liaison (CL) Psychiatry role, the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide psychiatric consultation to pediatric units and emergency department for pediatric patients with primary psychiatric conditions or psychiatric comorbidities. The CL Psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and give recommendations for patients on the respective services, and facilitate referrals for long-term treatment when needed for the diverse population served. The CL Psychiatrist will provide in-person consults for Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital and tele-psychiatry consults to additional Corewell Health East hospitals.

For the Outpatient Psychiatry role, the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will start a new practice within the Corewell Health Children’s at William Beaumont University Hospital. The Outpatient Psychiatrist will offer diagnostic psychiatric assessment for child & adolescent patients and psychiatric medication follow-up visits. The Child & Adolescent Psychiatry practice will also include a Child & Adolescent Psychologist. Visits will be a mix of in person clinic and tele-psychiatry with 60-minute new and 30-minute return visits.

Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations.
