The Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for supervising, facilitating, and coordinating the activities of clinical support staff for the provision of quality patient care in the physician outpatient clinics. The Clinical Operations Manager demonstrates the consistent ability to act as a role model providing direction in the application of the nursing and clinical process, quality improvement standards, and organizational and departmental goals in accordance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities Provides department-wide coordination, facilitation, and direct delivery of patient care, while demonstrating leadership qualities commensurate with the Nurse Manager role. Supports service excellence across the organization.Develops and implements new policies and procedures, and/or process changes that are applicable across clinics within department. Ensures adherence and compliance by clinical staff with all applicable policies, regulations, and laws.Maintains competency for services performed in clinics. Identifies education needs of clinical staff, works to develop training plans, and assists in providing clinical staff training and in-service instruction. Provides direct patient care in clinics as indicated by staffing, acuity, or resource need across clinics.Assists Director with effective daily resource allocation through delegation of tasks and assignment of duties to maintain efficient workflow in department. Coordinates and communicates with stakeholders any changes in operations or clinical staffing arrangements. Responsible for monitoring and addressing employee relation issues to ensure collaboration and maintains effective professional relationships amongst staff. Serves as a resource/facilitator for staff in regards to patient care and operational issues. Facilitates department performance improvement and patient safety initiatives including reviewing key indicators and developing action plans as needed to ensure quality patient care. Participates in TJC or other regulatory agency survey readiness plans within department.Assists Director in the financial management of department including participating in budget planning process, developing staffing plans, and identifying appropriate equipment or technology for procurement. Assist Director in identifying, evaluating, and implementing best practices or new systems to maximize physician clinic operation efficiency and performance.

QualificationsRegistered Nurse with current Alabama or Multistate License. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse.
Prior work experience in nursing management or leadership role preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.
