Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiology-related conditions. Perform electrophysiology studies, ablations, pacemaker and ICD implantations, and lead extractions. Interpret electrocardiograms (EKG), Holter monitors, event monitors, and other diagnostic tests. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Educate patients and families about arrhythmia conditions, treatment options, and post-procedure care. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electrophysiology and contribute to research or clinical trials if applicable. Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Training: Completed a residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Cardiology and an advanced fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Licensure: Board certification in Cardiology and Electrophysiology (or eligibility). Active or be able to obtain a medical license in Maryland. Skills: Expertise in cardiac electrophysiology procedures. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Commitment to patient-centered care.Benefits:
