Physician - Endocrinology - Grand Rapids, MI -

Corewell Health, located in Grand Rapids, MI, is looking to add two more Endocrinologists to our busy and growing practice.

The Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology is home to six Endocrinologists and two Diabetologists leading a multidisciplinary team consisting of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Pharmacist, Care Managers, multiple RNs including a Population Health Nurse, Diabetes Educators and others providing a full range of services to patients.  With a large Primary Care base of 82+ sites of care, our team needs to grow.  The new physician will practice a full range of Endocrinology to include time in both the outpatient clinic and separate days doing inpatient consults.

Essential Functions:

Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.

Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.

Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.

Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.

Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.

Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.

Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.

Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.

Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

License – Michigan MD/DO

BE/BC Endocrinology Fellowship

Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS)

Certification - Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
