Physician Healthcare Leadership Rotational Program - August 2025

 The Physician Healthcare Leadership is designed to develop leaders with enterprise-wide thinking through a structured 3-year program that rotates participants through strategy, finance, analytics, and operational experiences within Humana.

The Physician Healthcare Leadership works with senior leaders throughout the company, participants in this program will receive critical experience building opportunities in key strategic initiatives around integrated care delivery as they develop a broad understanding of the healthcare industry. Resulting in Humana benefiting from leveraging outside-in thinking to advance our strategy while developing a pipeline of mid-career professionals with strategic enterprise thinking.

Required Qualifications

• MD/DO degree
• 1-2 years of people leadership experience
• 1-2 years of project leadership experience
• Collaborative mindset
• Strong relationship management skills
• Strong executive presence skills
• Rigorous analytical thinker/strong with data
• Microsoft Office proficiency

**Available to start in August 2025 and relocate to either Washington, D.C. or Louisville, KY for first rotation of the program 

**Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States either now or in the future 

Strongly Preferred Qualifications
o MBA from a top-tier university
o Clinical practice experience
o Board certification

o Secondary advanced degree (i.e., MBA, MPH, MMM, PhD, JD- license required, however credentialing is not required)
o VBC/provider risk expertise
o Knowledge of healthcare contracting
o Knowledge of healthcare regulatory environment
o Financial analytics experience
o Direct P&L management
o Operations management
o Product management
o Marketing/brand management
o Information technology
o AI/ML exposure
o Experience with Medicare Advantage
o Experience with Medicaid
o Experience with government contracting/TRICARE

*Experience with all preferred items above not required, however experience in some should be observed

Additional Information

*The starting location of the rotational program will be Louisville, KY or Washington, DC

*Locations of rotations 2-4 are flexible based on business areas of interest and location preferences, either in a formal Humana office (DC, Boston, Chicago, etc.) or work from home.

*Relocation assistance will be provided

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
