This position is located in the Department of Medicine at Fort Liberty, NC.

Womack is in Fayetteville, Fort Liberty which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. Responsibilities
As a Physician (Hospitalist) you will:
Serves as Physician (Hospitalist) in the Medicine Inpatient Service, responsible for the examination, diagnosis and treatment of the full range of inpatients seen in the hospital.Performs a wide range of medical duties covering general internal medicine and consultation for general and subspecialty surgical services.Examines patients, orders and evaluates the full range of radiology and laboratory tests, makes diagnosis and prescribes appropriate treatment to include oral and intravenous drugs, nursing care, and therapeutic dietary interventions.Servers as a member of the Department of Medicine Medical Education Committee as a Key Clinical Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.Provides medical consultative services and chart review for quality assurance purposes. US Citizenship required
Board Eligible/ Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine
Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
