PHYSICIAN & NETWORK DEVELOPMENT LIAISON

Summary

Position Summary

The Physician and Network Development Liaison is responsible for relationship building with the overall objective of developing, maintaining, and growing a strong network of physicians and providers. The liaison works closely with the provider recruitment and onboarding team to establish relationships with physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APP’s) LBH stakeholders, and the community. Develops, implements, and manages programs to build physician awareness and utilization of LifeBridge Health services. This is a dynamic role that will be the face of LBH, the eyes and ears in the community, and be the market expert identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Network Referral Growth

Works in tandem with Marketing and service line leaders to grow awareness of providers and services across LBH system, and overall market area, aiming to result in network cohesion, referral retention and growth.  Identify opportunities to increase physician referrals within the LBH Medical Group - develop and maintain relationships with referring practices, physicians, APP’s and practice managers. Increase physician utilization of LifeBridge Health programs and services. Assists senior management in facilitating the implementation of LifeBridge Health strategic plan related to physician utilization and medical staff development.

 

Engagement

Ensure current LBH collateral is distributed to community offices and referring facilities. Organize and participate in physician/provider focused events (i.e. Doctors’ Day, Regional Provider Mixers & Clinical Compact Meetings). Facilitate growth and retention of physicians and APP’s to understand challenges, manage expectations, and communicate any issues back to leadership.

 

Marketing Liaison

In collaboration with LBH Marketing department, develop and execute marketing plan to promote newly hired providers and increase referrals/volume for existing providers as needed. Point person for building new provider online directory profiles, overseeing promotion in key LBH publications, and managing the new provider marketing SmartSheet to ensure key tactics are being executed for all newly hired providers. Point of contact for meet and greets for newly hired physicians – organizing events, scheduling and attending lunch & learns, participation in service line meetings, etc.  Participate and engage in various marketing/community events as a representative of LBH Medical Group.

 

Physician Relations

Conducts initial and ongoing needs analysis of key independent/community physicians and practices to identify and cultivate relationships with those that may be an asset to the LBH network. Identify local physicians to engage regarding current LBH recruiting needs. Document communication and manage all provider encounters in the ATS to maintain data integrity for accurate analysis of trends and success of strategic initiatives. Develop relationships with local residency and fellowship programs, including sponsoring didactics, hosting dinners/events, and devising other tactics.

 

Professionalism/Teamwork

Display a commitment to the value of teamwork by building strong relationships with provider recruitment and onboarding team, Department Directors, co-workers, and the surrounding community. Attend meetings, in-service trainings, etc. as required Display an understanding and awareness of, and perform all duties in accordance with, the organization mission and vision statements

Additional Skillset:

Position requires excellent sales, marketing, problem solving, communications, and organizing skills as well as the ability to multi-task, planning and prioritizing a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines. The ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results. Demonstrates patience, flexibility and stays calm under pressure. Manages costs effectively; audits and submits expenses for approval and payment

 

Requirements:

Education Discipline: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred. Equivalent related work experience may be acceptable. Two or more years’ experience in sales/marketing, physician relations, or business development with a proven track record of success. Previous healthcare background is required with specific knowledge of the medical/physician community preferred.
