Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. 3. Maintains active license and appropriate certifications.
4. Work 7 days on and 7 days off rounding on all Oncology patients in the hospital.
5. Assist physician with records and testing results.
6. Report immediately to physician any emergent or urgent findings with the patient
7. Document as appropriate in hospital EMR as allowed by licensure and scope of practice.
8. Serves as part clinical team in the office when needed
9. Adheres to procedural checklists for administering all immunizations/injections.
10. Ensures that all examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, including replacing any expired supplies.
11. Call patients from the waiting area using appropriate title and last name to a clean, well-stocked examination room.
12. Obtain and accurately document vital signs and confirm chief complaint.
13. Provides support and assistance as needed to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff.
14. Participates proactively in problem solving and process improvement activities through collaboration with clinical
teams using Evidence Based Practices.
15. Demonstrates continued professional growth through goal-setting and participation in educational offerings.
16. Follows all hospital and office protocols, policies and guidelines.
17. Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications /Training:
1 to 2 years of related work experience. Experience with Oncology and Hematology patients and EMR helpful.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Valid, active certification, verified RN
