Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Prepares patients to be seen by the provider by triage, assessment, treatments, procedures, patient education and follow up information. Formulates the database by systematically obtaining information through communication with patients and family members. This is to include vital signs, history, chief complaints and any relevant information to be documented in patients chart. Performs tests such as selected laboratory tests, EKGs, Spirometry, inhalation treatments. Prepares medications and gives injections as ordered by provider Assists provider with procedures and treatments as needed. Consults with patients by telephone addressing concerns or instructions by provider. Provides patient education as needed. Phones patients giving test results such as labs, xrays, etc. as directed by provider. Sanitize and clean examining rooms between patients Checks expiration dates on drugs and vaccines and disposes of out dated medications per guidelines Demonstrate a willingness to work with other providers as deemed necessary. Qualifications and Training
At least one year in a physicians office or other clinical setting
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Must possess a valid SC license- LPN and BLS
