Responsibilities Consistently demonstrates safe and accurate technical skills. Demonstrates competency in the performance of all procedures routinely performed in the walk-in. Provides oversight of equipment, ensures quality control checks and appropriate documentation. Provides oversight to team ensuring safety/infection procedures are followed daily. Provides quality care by triaging patients accurately and complies with instructions rendered by provider. Assessments of patients are accurate, consistently performed and completed efficiently. Routinely demonstrates proper technique in operating all equipment. Handles all specimens using proper technique. Correctly labels and processes specimens. Insures proper preparation of specimens for lab courier transfer to Lab. Routinely performs all nursing duties in an energetic and compassionate manner, utilizing strong organizational skills and a good work ethic. All communication with patients, providers, team members and the public is courteous, accurate and professional, including service recovery. Performs all other duties as assigned in a cooperative and professional manner. Oversees daily operation of walk-in by ensuring adequate supplies, coordination of daily assignments, and ensuring appropriate patient flow. Competencies Skills Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members Able To Withstand Crisis Situations Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records Credentials Essential: RN - Registered Nurse LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse BLS - Basic Life Saving certification Education Essential: LPN program graduate Other Information Minimum of 2 years L.P.N. or 1 year R.N. experience or 2 years EMT experience and a new grad L.P.N. Experience - preferably in a high volume Physician Office setting or urgent/walk-in center. Salaries starting at USD $26.12/Hr.
