Responsibilities Treat and manage the long-term care issues, and sub-acute care needs, etc of the patients/residents to assure quality of care within standard medical practice. Serves as a resource for professional staff and trainees; supervises when applicable. Qualifications Medical Degree in Medicine and completion of a training program in a primary care specialty required. Long-term care experience preferred. Some experience with geriatric patients preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and e-mail. Ability to operate medical equipment. Current NYS License to practice Medicine. Board Certified in Primary care specialty preferred. Certificate of added qualifications in geriatrics preferred ACLS/BCLS Certification. Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally. Excellent documentation skills. Good organization skills. Analytical, critical thinking, managing, coordinating and prioritizing skills. Ability to secure confidential matters.
