Job Summary

The Physician Practice Administrator oversees the clinical and operational aspects ofdesignated provider practice(s).This role involves collaborating with the Director of Physician Services,other Physician Practice Administrator, LPN/LVN-Clinic Leads, and Lead, Medical Assistants toenhance practice efficiency, improve patient satisfaction, foster employee engagement, and driveservice line growthAdditionally, the Physician Practice Administrator provides leadership to one ormore LPN/LVN-Clinic Leads and/or Lead, Medical Assistants

Essential Functions

Manages the daily clinical and operational aspects of designated provider practice(s)Ensures that care is provided to each patient in accordance with applicable compliance andquality standardsFacilitates orientation, in-service education, training, and ongoing education for all personnel inthe department(s)Conducts interviews and hires employees, while also providing corrective counseling,including employee relations and terminations when necessaryManages physician schedulesMonitors assigned practices and collaborates with other practice leaders and the Director ofPhysician Services to ensure financial responsibility and adherence to annual practicebudgetsProvides leadership to LPN/LVN-Clinic Leads and/or Lead, Medical Assistants throughperformance management, coaching, and talent development, ensuring at least weeklycommunicationMonitors practices for efficiencies to minimize practice investment, including accountsreceivable oversight, budgeting, charge capture, and budget managementProvides effective leadership to the assigned department(s) of responsibilityEnsures that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act of theState of OhioEnsures staff compliances with hospital/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelinesParticipates in activities that ensure the competency of the staffEnsures proper staffing for the department(s) of responsibilityMaintains accountability for fiscal management of the department(s)Demonstrates good management techniques in established lines of authorityDemonstrates ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populationsDemonstrates maturity and accountability for job performance. Supports the philosophy,objectives and goals of the Department(s) and organization. Assesses areas of personal andprofessional growthSupports and promotes excellence in customer/guest relations, patient experienceSupports and promotes the organization’s Quality, Infection Control, Safety, and RiskManagement ProgramsEnsures 90% compliance on hand hygiene auditsUnderstands and adheres to all regulatory and compliance standards
