General Summary:The Physician Recruiter at Fisher-Titus is an integral role within our health system to ensure appropriate staffing for community health needs. This role has two main business functions – new provider recruitment and new provider orientation and onboarding.
New Provider Recruitment: This role leads the recruitment efforts for Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to our service area on behalf of Fisher-Titus, or local private practices who need assistance with recruiting activity. This role works closely with administrative staff, medical staff leadership, and individual practices to understand provider needs for the service area and to identify appropriate candidates for these needs. Recruiting activities include contacting prospects directly or in conjunction with a recruitment agency, arranging and maintaining itineraries and accommodations, hosting meetings and activities for prospect visits, and working with respective members of Senior Leadership to coordinate financial packages for the successful recruitment of a candidate.
New Physician Orientation & Onboarding: Upon successful provider start, this role is responsible for orienting the provider to the health system and the community which includes facility tours, and introductions and capabilities presentations to appropriate community members, health system leaders and staff, and area providers.
Essential Functions: Recruits’ providers as needed; Generates ideas to address recruiting and concerns of practice/service line with staffing needs. Includes participation in manpower planning with medical center and ambulatory leadership. Prepare and process new provider contracts Work with candidates directly or through a third-party placement firm to help navigate process. When a prospect has been identified, coordinates interview visits. Works through all the details of such a visit and remains in close contact with the prospect throughout the recruitment process. Orient and onboard newly hired medical staff members to the health system and community. Ensuring smooth transition into employment through the recruitment process to the onboarding, acting as the lead of the onboarding and pre-employment process Serves as the lead in the interdisciplinary onboarding team to ensure all necessary pre-requisites of onboarding are complete i.e. credentialing, computer training, computer set up, privileges, etc Work closely with operational teams to ensure the network meets the specific needs of the business relative to the various physician specialties. Coordinates newly hired Fisher-Titus employed/non-employed physician and APP meet and greets with appropriate audiences. Establishes and maintains ongoing and open communications with providers and office staff, including routine or follow-up visits, emails and phone calls.
