 The Physician, Virtual Care serves as a health-care professional and is capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. Provide virtual, high-quality care for patients by leveraging a digital concierge experience, virtual home visit services, and streamlined care coordination. The Physician, Virtual Care work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities:
• Act as a collaborating physician for several nurse practitioners or physician assistants, including completing regular chart review, coordinating monthly meetings, and being readily available to help direct patient care.
• Work in close partnership with clinical and non-clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
• When needed, lead shared decision-making discussions with patients via our telemedicine platform using integrated video visits.
• When needed, conduct preventive, problem-focused, and transitions of care virtual visits, including recommending preventive screenings, conducting medication reviews, and prescribing/ordering medications and tests as necessary.
• When needed, assist in the coordination of patient services, including but not limited to lab testing, imaging, specialty referral, and home medical equipment.
• Complete all medical record documentation in a timely manner.
• Welcome continuous learning, as a physician, individual, and team member.
• Interact with our technology and operations teams to constantly improve our care model and technology platform.
• Follow policy and protocol defined by Clinical Leadership.
• Meet with medical leader about quality of care, review of outcome data, policy, procedure, and records issues.
• Participate in potential marketing and growth opportunities for new or existing services.
• Assure personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies.

Required Qualifications:
• Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of FL and/or TX prior to the start of employment
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Board certification or eligible to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
• Active and unrestricted DEA license
• Medicare Provider Number
• Medicaid Provider Number
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior patient/customer service skills
• Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with colleagues/patients
• Strong computer proficiency, including responding to emails and navigating EMR interfaces
• Expertise with web-side manner and willing to take a sponsored CME course on web-side manner, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
• Fully on board with the concept of virtual primary care and has 2+ years with engaging in patient-facing telemedicine/telehealth
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage
• Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$203,400 - $279,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
