This is an exciting opportunity for a BC/BE Vascular Neurologist to expand their career in an innovative and supportive environment, with the added responsibility of teaching residents in a structured academic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with acute and chronic cerebrovascular conditions, including ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), and other vascular neurological disorders. Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neurointerventionalists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation specialists, to offer integrated care to patients. Outpatient and Inpatient Services: Manage both outpatient consultations and inpatient care for stroke and other vascular neurological conditions. Clinical Procedures: Utilize advanced neuroimaging and other diagnostic tools to assess and guide treatment plans. Teaching and Education: Teach and mentor residents and fellows in the field of vascular neurology. Lead educational rounds, case discussions, and participate in formal teaching sessions. Foster an academic environment that promotes learning and professional growth. Research: Participate in clinical research initiatives related to cerebrovascular disease and stroke prevention, contributing to advances in patient care and clinical practices.Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree. Training: Completion of a neurology residency and fellowship training in Vascular Neurology. Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology, with subspecialty certification or eligibility in Vascular Neurology. Experience: Previous experience in stroke management and vascular neurology is preferred. Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Experience in teaching and mentoring residents is highly desirable.Benefits:
